Imagine how it would feel to a neglected animal left outside without shelter or food to suddenly have a warm blanket? |

What about an animal, never loved, touched or praised, but abused and neglected, to feel safe, relaxed and happy?
While I can’t tell you how animals in shelters feel, I can tell you what I have witnessed. I personally placed blankets and pet beds on hard cold cement floors. You should see how quickly a dog or cat snuggles and curls up in it. Imagine how wonderful it must feel to them when they must be so lonely and frightened.
It is very simple, by donating a blanket you can save two lives. You save one life when an animal is adopted and another life when that vacancy in the shelter makes room for another homeless animal.
BLANKETS/COMFORTERS ARE USED:
To provide warmth, a sense of safety and security, giving the animals the ability to be comfortable and relax.
To keep the animals off the floor, insulating them from drafty, cold floors, while cushioning joints and providing each animal its own space.
Animal Control officers wrap donated blankets around abused or sick stray animals for transportation to shelters.

Comforters are used for sick or injured animals, before and after surgery.
TOWELS ARE USED FOR:
Grooming
Bedding and in crates
Birthing moms and their babies (puppies and kittens)
Wiping down kennels and medical equipment
TOYS ARE USED FOR:
Toys help lonely and bored animals get through the day . |
